Yes, minimum age requirement is 18. However, there is no age limit above 18.

The program will provide snacks and drinks during special occasion. Aside from breakfast, lunch and dinner will be dependent on each participant. You should budget for $15 per day to cover lunch and dinner.

Yes. Each participant will be placed into a chamber music opportunity. This is largely dependent of the level of the participant.

You do not have to speak Portuguese to attend the Brazilian Guitar Academy. The whole program will be in English.

You are able to attend the masterclasses of each program, however, we ask that you specify which program you would like to participate in, as this will reflect with whom you will take your private lessons with, which ensembles you will be in, and which concerts you will perform in. If you would like to take additional private lessons outside your registered feild, we can arrnage this for you, however, you will have pay an additional fee depending on the number of lessons you would like to take.

There are three sessions to each day (morning, afternoon, and evening). The morning sessions will consist of lectures and masterclasses. In the afternoon session, participants will take private lessons, rehearse, and practice. The evening sessions will consist of a daily concert.

There will be nine concerts total.

One. The housing provides two queen size beds per room. If you would like a private room, you will have pay extra.

We offer scholarships for the program and should be requested separately from the application. You may submit a 250 - 500 word essay detailing how your participation in the Brazilian Guitar Academy will benefit you as a musician in your personal or professional life. Yes, it does not matter which time you arrive at the GRU airport, a representative of the Brazilian Guitar Academy will be there to greet you. We request that you send us your flight information (which we will submit a separate form to you with the contact email you provide for us). Depending on which time you arrive, you may have to wait (up to one hour) at the GRU airport as other members of the Brazilian Guitar Academy arrive. Afterwhich, you will be placed into an Uber and driven to the Hotel. Depending on the time of day you arrive, the ride from the airport to the hotel will range from 30 minutes and up to one hour, depending on traffic.

Yes, but you are responsible for any damage to the instrument. We can share with you special brands and pricing options, however, we encourage you to bring your own instrument.

Yes. The housing we provide will be deducted from the tuition.

You will perform in one masterclass.

Concerts will take place throughout the city at some of Sao Paulos most important concert locations.

Yes, you should bring your instrument. If you would like to rent one, we can arrange this.
